Overlay is the new label formed by Jason Ganberg and Bryce Alber,
the founding musical artists and producers of Deep Dark Blue. With
reverence for liberation and life celebration through sound and self
expression the duo plan to broaden their blossoming sounds with
like-hearted musicians and artists of all kinds.

The first track of the EP, 'Rising Signs,' presents a twilight of harmonious colors streaking through a wide open sky. What lifts above the horizon line comes with a celebration of drums, booming bass, fluttering tribal nuance and evolving synth pads. Continued exploration leads to the oasis of 'You Can Tell Me,' a soulful trip into lush gardens of revelation through which one may find imaginings of nourishing, moonlit waters brought about by a gentle piano motif, large kick and snare. This dreamlike setting is warmly wrapped in analogue arpeggiation. In conclusion 'All You Need,' invites a dance of liberation to be felt and fully expressed by all those curious for
darker, ancestral and deep house rhythms.

All music and art amplified through Overlay, is intended to ignite our collective will to dismantle power structures built on greed, oppression and exploitation. May this art also call us to further uplift and nurture our
shared cultural, physical and spiritual environments.
